I have put together this website for people to add their favorite outdoor locations.

Note: For fishing spots, I'm mostly interested in general locations, ie Lakes, Ponds, Rivers etc. If you really want to give up the exact GPS coordinates of your favorite 'honey hole', that is up to you!

Export To Google Earth!

The map locations are available in .kml format for use with Google Earth, a free product from Google.
Right click and "Save Target As" generator.kml

Or, your browser may automatically start Google Earth if it is installed.

Reference Your Locations!

In each of the location balloons that appear for a specific spot, there is a link at the top of the balloon. This link can be referenced in emails, forums, blogs etc.

Feel free to reference your location from our maps page!!
Just right click and "Copy Shortcut" in Internet Explorer and paste the link where needed.

Navigation

  • Located on the right is the Map Locations Window. Hover over it with your mouse and it will appear.
  • - Select a country, when the country balloon shows up on the map, click the country link
  • The menu on the very top of the page contains all the features available.
  • To zoom in on a location, use the zoom tools located on the left hand side
  • To move around in the map, click and drag anywhere on the map.
  • You can also switch between Satellite, Map, and Hybrid views by clicking the corresponding button in upper right area.
  • You can view or hide the different windows that appear by clicking on the [Hide] link, or clicking on the Navigation menu link.

To Add a location:

  1. Find the location on the map
    • You can zoom in closer and click "Satellite" to view details
    • Double click the precise location and you will notice the coordinates change
  2. Double-Click to set coordinates
  3. Click Add Location in top Navigation menu
  4. Required fields are: subject, description, the region, and country
  5. Fill out other details if you wish
  6. Enter a link for the location (could be a blog link, forum link, local business link)
  7. Enter up to 3 image urls
  8. Example: http://www.homepage.com/bigtrout.jpg
  9. Submit Entry/li>
